Richard Butz, O.D.
Dr. Butz grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. He found his first work in the optical industry the summer of 1975 after his graduation from high school. Here he worked polishing glass lenses before they were cut to fit into their frames. In the fall he began his undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa. Dr. Butz continued to work in optical laboratories fitting and fabricating eyeglasses until he received his license to practice Optometry.
Dr. Butz received his doctorate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois in May of 1983. He took and passed the licensing exams in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa. At that time he took a position in a group practice in southern Indiana. Six months later he moved to Sioux City, Iowa. Here he practiced on his own for a year and a half before returning to the Chicago area in May of 1985. At this time he began practicing as an employee of a national eye care chain in Aurora outside of the Fox Valley Mall. Dr. Butz practiced at this location until early 1990 when this location was combined with another near by optical which had been recently acquired by the parent corporation. At this time Dr. Butz purchased the practice of Dr. Frederick Boulton.
Dr. Butz lives in Naperville with his wife, Karen, and his three sons. In addition to family activities Dr. Butz enjoys swimming, gardening, reading, traveling and playing the trombone.

Dennis W. Kirscher, O.D.
Dr. Kirscher, a family vision specialist with an emphasis on contact lenses has been with Professional Eye Care for only a short time but has served the Naperville community for nearly twenty years.
Upon graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Kirscher received the Albert H. Rodrigues Award for research in contact lenses. He served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Illinois College of Optometry for seven years. During that time he published research and lectured nationally in the fields of Contact Lenses and Sports Vision receiving various awards for teaching and contributions to the profession of optometry.
Dr. Kirscher is a current member of the Illinois and American Optometric Associations.
When he’s not working, Dr. Kirscher enjoys time with his family and serving as a youth advisor at this church, Peace Memorial U.C.C. in Palos Park, Illinois.

Kevin J. Kovach, M.D.
Dr Kovach was one of the first Refractive Surgeons to preform lasik surgery in DuPage County. A resident of DuPage County, Illinois since birth, refractive surgeon Kevin Kovach, MD, graduated cum laude from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in 1992.
